I downloaded MP3 Tool kit to merge audiobook chapters as my elderly Mum finds it eaiser to listen to one file. It took 8 hours to merge a 250MB audiobook set at a bit rate of 48 (not even 64!) and I ended up with a file that was 800MB in size. The 2nd and 3rd time I tried it took 8 hours, then said my laptop was out of memory (I have a 6GB memory) then crashed my computer (I use windows 10).
